New England Fall: For The Win
Last weekend I drove up to New Hampshire for a wedding, you can see that ‘fit here. The scenery was beautiful, the leaves were gorgeous, yadda yadda yadda. Let’s get to the important stuff: my Leaf Peeping Accoutrement. I just scored these suspender overalls from Asos, and I can already tell that they’re going to be on repeat for awhile. I apologize in advance.
Do any of you have a piece of clothing that you almost passed up, but ended up buying, and is now a staple of your wardrobe? These boots are that item for me. In early 2011 I moved from NYC to California, and then back to NYC 11 months later. Before I moved, I treated myself to a new pair of Dr Martens boots, since I was moving back to Brooklyn in the heart of December.
I almost didn’t buy them, because I was saving up to go back to school, but I’m so glad that I did. They’re light, durable, and have grippy tread which is a necessity for NYC’s snow/ice covered sidewalks. They’ve held up for 5 years too! Which is kind of insanity given the beating I give them every winter.
Sadly, they’re not available anymore, but I’ve linked some similar boots below. I think these ones are going to end up on my Christmas list…
What boots are you jonesing after this year?
