They Call me the Space Cowgirl

Hello my beauties! This post is a week late, but only because I was busy celebrating my birthday last week. And by celebrating, I really mean working late and not actually celebrating čśö.

Anyways, here is my last installment of┬áThings I’ve┬áLearned in my many years on this planet. There are 31 altogether, an “arbitrary” number by which you can likely deduce my new and improved age. You can read my previous lists here and here.

  1. Learn how to do things yourself. It’s so much more satisfying to learn how to do something on your own than to pay someone else to do it. Sometimes throwing money at a┬áproblem is necessary, but often, things are way easier than we think they are.
  2. Tell the people in your life that you love and appreciate them. Constantly.
  3. Learn how to take (constructive) criticism and grow from it. Honestly, I’m still figuring this one out. It’s really difficult to not take professional criticism personally.
  4. A few close friendships are more meaningful than a handful of fringe ones.
  5. Compliment strangers. If you see someone looking fire, tell them. It feels really good, for both you and the stranger.
  6. Say no. The best part of being an adult is not doing things you don’t want to do.
  7. Say yes. Being a good partner often means┬ádoing things you don’t want to do because the person you loves wants to do it.
  8. Pay off your debt. Student loans, credit cards, medical bills, whatever. Put as much money as you can afford towards paying off your debt. Interest is a serious financial freedom killer.
  9. No one is perfect. I am not perfect, and you are not perfect, that all those┬ábabes on Instagram are not perfect. Sometimes I delight┬áin thinking of all┬áthe ways other people (usually celebrities) are not perfect. Maybe Selena Gomez has webbed toes, maybe she hates dogs, maybe she has a really obnoxious laugh. It’s fun, try it sometime.
  10. It’s okay to not care about things that other people care about. Your priorities in life are allowed to be different than other people’s priorities (unless we’re talking about debt, in that case, see number 8). If you’re not interested in getting married, or maintaining┬áa skincare routine, or investing in an expensive handbag, it’s 100% okay. You do you.
  11. I don’t know shit. There are days where I think, “Cool, maybe I’ve got this,” and then days where I’m just trying not to drown. And I’m slowly learning that we’re all faking it together.

Whew. Done. It was not easy coming up with 31 things I’ve learned. Mostly because┬ánumber 11 is REAL.

The one thing I want to mention about the outfit below is the bodysuit I’m wearing. I didn’t really understand the magic of bodysuits until I bought one, and now I’m converted. They look really sleek and always stay tucked in. But make sure you get the kind that┬áhave snaps on the crotch. Or else you’re stuck getting completely naked every time you pee. I’ve included a bunch that I’m lusting after below.
