A Little Bit Rock ‘N Roll

If you’re like me (and probably the other 95% of the female population), you wear something sequined on New Year’s Eve. And if you’re also like me, you have a hard time rocking sequins the other 364 days of the year. It’s tough—sequins can look too girly, cutesy, juvenile, and more often than not, kind of tacky. Today I pulled out this sequin pencil skirt, that has otherwise only been worn on NYE, and challenged myself to style it for the everyday.

I toned it down with a vintage band tee and hardware embellished accessories. I added this flashy statement necklace, which I fully recognize is a DylanLex knockoff (but come on, some of those beauties are more than my rent).  And topped the ensemble off with a bandana because, as we know by now, nothing says “I’m hip, casual, and cool” like a bandana adorned neck.
