Holiday Styling Part I: Office Holiday Party

Part 1 of my holiday styling series is here! I have barely been able to contain myself these past few weeks. I knew I wanted to bring you some holiday blog content, but I wanted it to be diffffffffferent. Like me, I’m sure you’re all sick of the same old holiday sales grabbiness out there in retail land. So instead, I teamed up with Omnia Vintage to bring you 4 looks, and 4 styling ideas, ALL DAMN WEEK, to push your holiday outfits over the edge. All the Omnia items I’m wearing are for sale (!) but there’s only one of ’em, so if you want something, you best jump on it.

You can find all of Omnia Vintage’s collection on their site (new arrivals weekly, dangerous), in their Etsy shop, and IRL on weekends at the Brooklyn Flea. I highly recommend signing up for their newsletter—you’ll see each curated mini collection first, and often get the DL on exclusive sales. I normally trash newsletters before opening them, but I read theirs religiously. The pieces in their shop vary in time period and style but are always feminine and functional. You’ll find wares that are well made, flattering, and timeless, but also intriguing—with a little something “extra” (pockets! volume! texture! silhouette!)

The following 4 posts (1 per day this week!) will offer some of my styling ideas for all your holiday soirees—whether they’re super glam, or decidedly not.

My first suggestion: try monochrome red! Not to sound hyperbolic, but nothing is hotter this season than all over color… especially red on red. For your office holiday party, add some extra texture to a jumpsuit by layering a turtleneck of the same color underneath. In this look, I piled highhhh the gold accessories—geometric statement earrings, a chain belt, and stacks on stacks of gold rings. Add an obnoxious faux fur coat, which adds unexpected texture and breaks up the color blocking, and suddenly you’re flying high in rockstar territory.

What are YOU wearing to your office holiday party?? Click here if it needs to be this jumpsuit. Remember, I’ll be posting a NEW holiday look each day this week. So come back tomorrow y’all!
