My favorite thing about this blogging endeavor is connecting with like-minded babes all over the world. The fashion blogger market is saturated AF, which can be disheartening at times, but it also means there is more opportunity to find women out there who are just like moi.
When I discovered Lisa (@lalafauxbois) on Instagram, I knew instantly that we were kindred spirits. Her love for vintage, thrifting, and unexpected color combinations is contagious. She’s also a total feminist bauss, and her mint green mermaid hair is the definition of #hairgoals. Her Etsy store, Color Theory Shop, has all the fabulous flair a gal could ever need. She’s got earrings, pins, (earrings that can be worn as pins), scarves, and a multitude of vintage treasures.
I got these same earrings in the teal colorway, and have been wearing them together (one ear in pink, one ear in teal). I also snagged two of her colorful scarves (tied around my bag below). What I love about her scarves is they are rectangular (not square!), which actually makes them much easier to wear around your neck and in your hair. I also scored this disco boot pin, which is too damn cute. I think it kinda goes with my Modern Vice Bolt Boots…
The funniest part of this outfit is my basket bag. It’s not actually a purse, but a storage basket I stole from my mom’s living room. She was using it to store some computer cords (or something?) and I snatched it from her to make it into this purse. I clamped the middle together and sprayed it with water to mold the opening from circular to oblong, sewed a toggle closure on it, and voila!
