My Biggest Secret
I’m about to let y’all in on a goldmine. But let me start at the beginning: I love to thrift. For both environmental and sartorial reasons. And I don’t mean go to a curated vintage store and buy pretty things. I mean dig through racks of donated clothing at a Goodwill or a Savers or a Salvation Army and discover epic hidden gems. I’ve even found vintage Fendi, Moschino, Louis Vuitton, and Chanel on my hunts. But designer finds are few and far between.
We all know trends are cyclical, and therefore you’re bound to find an ultra trendy piece whose trend-turn is back on deck. You’ve just got to have a little patience and an eye for potential. See this blog post for my biggest thrifting tip.
Anyways, back to my secret. Because I live in New York City, actual thrift stores are difficult to find, so I often rely on vintage shops (future blog post coming on the difference between the two) to get my fix. Cue online vintage retailer to the stars: Noir Ohio Vintage. Noir Ohio is my absolute go-to for vintage. I can’t tell you how many pieces of theirs I’ve purchased over the years.
This romper is my newest score. I can’t wait to take ‘er on my upcoming honeymoon next month.
